BrowserStack

BrowserStack is a cloud software testing company founded in 2011 by Ritesh Arora and Nakul Aggarwal. It started because the founders needed to test their own website across many browsers and devices. Its main offices are in Mumbai and Dublin, and sources differ on which city counts as its headquarters. Since 2021 it has operated as a remote-first company.

Its products include Live (manual testing on real browsers and devices), Automate and App Automate (running Selenium, Playwright, Appium and similar test suites in the cloud), Percy (visual regression testing), App Live, Test Management, Test Observability, Accessibility Testing and Low Code Automation. The company also markets AI agents for test creation and maintenance, and says it operates 21 data centres worldwide.

BrowserStack sells online with published per-user and per-parallel-test pricing in US dollars, and it offers a free trial and free plans for open-source projects. Enterprise contracts are negotiated with its sales team. Indian IT services firms, product companies and startups are among its users, alongside customers in more than 135 countries.

On its company page, BrowserStack says it has more than 50,000 customers, 7 million developer sign-ups and about 1 billion tests run a year. It says it passed US$100 million in annual recurring revenue and had more than 1,000 employees as of 2022. The company raised a US$50 million Series A from Accel in 2018 and a US$200 million Series B led by BOND in 2021, which valued it at US$4 billion. In 2025 it announced a US$125 million employee stock and share buyback programme. BrowserStack has appeared on the Forbes Cloud 100 list five years in a row.
