Self-service BI with Tally and Zoho connectors.
Zoho Analytics is the self-service BI tool from Chennai-headquartered Zoho. It suits Indian SMEs and mid-sized firms that keep their numbers in Tally, Zoho Books or Zoho CRM, or in a MySQL or SQL Server database, and want dashboards without hiring a data team. Zoho says it can pull from more than 500 sources. For Indian accounting teams the TallyPrime connector matters most: it brings in ledgers, vouchers, trial balance, P&L, stock summaries and registers, with GST, TDS and TCS fields included.
Its strengths are breadth and price. There's a visual ETL builder, a data-preparation studio with over 250 no-code transforms, Ask Zia for questions in plain language, forecasting and anomaly detection, AutoML, and white-label embedding. The free plan gives 2 users, 10,000 rows and 5 workspaces, which is enough to test a Tally dashboard before you pay anything.
The weak spots are setup and limits. Tally sync isn't cloud-to-cloud. You run Zoho Databridge (version 10.9.8 or later) on a machine that can reach TallyPrime, with ODBC switched on, and hourly sync is only available on Enterprise. Lower plans refresh data once a day (Basic) or 8 times a day (Standard and Premium). Rows are counted across every table in every workspace, so a few years of voucher data can push you past Basic's 0.5 million rows quickly. Read-only viewers are not part of any plan and are sold separately in packs of 25.
Zoho prices the plans in rupees, per plan and not per seat. Basic is ₹1,200 a month or ₹960 a month billed yearly for 2 users and 0.5M rows, Standard is ₹2,400 or ₹1,900 for 5 users, Premium is ₹5,200 or ₹4,200 for 15 users, and Enterprise is ₹19,700 or ₹15,850 for 50 users. Extra users cost ₹250 a month each (₹200 on yearly billing). GST is added on top. All paid plans come with a 15-day trial that needs no card. If most of your reporting is Tally plus one CRM, start on Standard. Premium only pays off once more than 5 people need to edit reports.
What works well
What to watch out for
Best suited for: Tally-based Indian SMEs that want MIS dashboards without exporting to Excel · Businesses already on Zoho Books, CRM or Inventory that want reports across those apps · Agencies and software firms that need white-label embedded dashboards for their clients · Small finance teams that can live with daily or 8-times-a-day data refresh

Zoho Analytics prices whole plans in rupees, not per seat. Basic is ₹1,200 a month (₹960 a month billed yearly) for 2 users and 0.5M rows. Standard is ₹2,400 (₹1,900 yearly) for 5 users, Premium is ₹5,200 (₹4,200 yearly) for 15 users, and Enterprise is ₹19,700 (₹15,850 yearly) for 50 users. Each extra user costs ₹250 a month.
No. Zoho Analytics adds local taxes such as GST on top of the rupee prices on its pricing page, so a Standard plan listed at ₹2,400 a month will cost more once 18% GST is applied. Indian businesses can usually claim that GST back as input tax credit. For invoice queries, Zoho points customers to payments@zohocorp.com.
Yes. The Zoho Analytics free plan is permanent and gives 2 users, 10,000 rows, 5 workspaces and unlimited reports and dashboards. If a paid trial or subscription lapses, the account moves back to Free and your data stays. You can't add new rows, though, until you're back under the 10,000-row limit or you upgrade.
Yes. Every paid Zoho Analytics plan has a 15-day free trial, and you don't need a credit card to start it. When the trial ends you aren't billed unless you subscribed with card details. The account simply moves to the free plan. That gives a small finance team two weeks to connect Tally and check the dashboards before spending anything.
Yes. Zoho Analytics has a TallyPrime connector that imports ledgers, godowns, stock items, vouchers, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet and registers, including GST and TDS fields. You need TallyPrime running with ODBC enabled and Zoho Databridge 10.9.8 or later installed nearby. Sync runs every 3, 6 or 12 hours or daily. Hourly sync needs Enterprise.
Zoho Analytics suits SMEs that run on Tally or Zoho apps. Its plans are priced in INR, a 5-user Standard plan costs ₹1,900 a month on yearly billing, and it ships a ready TallyPrime connector. Power BI has a bigger global community and goes deeper on modelling, but it's sold per user and has no native Tally connector. Firms already on Microsoft 365 may still find Power BI more natural.
Yes. Zoho Analytics offers a free Mobile BI app for viewing and interacting with reports and dashboards, plus a separate Dashboards app for browsing dashboards full-screen. On the Indian App Store the Mobile BI app had a 4.9 rating from 18 ratings when we checked. Building data pipelines and reports is still best done in the web version.
Zoho Analytics runs on Zoho's cloud, which holds ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018 and 27701 certifications along with SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 1 Type 2 reports. If you'd rather not copy data into Zoho, Live Connect queries your own database directly. Access works through role-based sharing, and only admins can set up integrations such as Tally.
A basic Zoho Analytics setup, such as connecting Zoho CRM or uploading spreadsheets, can produce dashboards on the first day because the connectors create starter reports. Tally takes longer. You'll need to enable ODBC, install Databridge, enter the exact company name and choose which modules to sync. Allow a few days if you want custom MIS reports across several companies.
Yes. Zoho Analytics lists an Indian support number, +91 44 6965 6060, staffed 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday. You can also email support@zohoanalytics.com. Zoho is based in Chennai, and many authorised partners across India help with Tally dashboards, though partner services are billed separately from the subscription.

Yes. Zoho Analytics's official site offers a free trial of 15 days.
