How to make a quotation in 5 steps

  1. Add your business details — name, address, GSTIN (if registered), phone and email. Click “Remember” once and they are pre-filled next time.
  2. Add the client — who the quotation is for, with their GSTIN if they are a registered business.
  3. List items or services — description, HSN (goods) or SAC (services) code, quantity, rate, any discount, and the GST rate.
  4. Check the tax split — same state shows CGST + SGST; tick the IGST box for an inter-state client.
  5. Set validity and terms, then download the PDF and send it.

What a good quotation includes

  • A unique quotation number and date, plus how long the prices are valid.
  • Seller and client details, including GSTINs where applicable.
  • Each line with HSN/SAC, quantity, rate, discount and tax, so the client can compare offers line by line.
  • Taxable value, tax by rate, round-off and the grand total in figures and words.
  • Payment, delivery and warranty terms, and an authorised signatory.

How do I make a quotation with GST?

Enter your business and client details, add each item with its HSN or SAC code, quantity, rate and GST rate, and tick the IGST box if the client is in another state. The tool splits tax into CGST and SGST (or IGST), totals it and writes the amount in words. Then download it as a PDF.

What is an automatic quotation maker?
