About Frappe Technologies
Frappe Technologies is a Mumbai-based software company best known for ERPNext, a free and open-source ERP. Rushabh Mehta founded the company in 2008. Frappe ran without outside funding for about 12 years. Zerodha's Rainmatter then invested about ₹10 crore (US$1.35 million) in the company, the first outside investment it accepted. Zerodha also runs ERPNext internally. The investment was announced on 24 November 2020. Frappe described it as its first funding round in 12 years, and Zerodha presented it as a sign that enterprises were accepting open-source software.
