Amazon.com, Inc. is a US e-commerce, cloud and digital services company headquartered in Seattle, Washington. Jeff Bezos founded it in 1994 and is Executive Chair. Andy Jassy has been President and CEO since July 2021. Amazon runs its cloud business as the separate subsidiary Amazon Web Services, which has its own profile.

The Amazon offerings on this site are aimed at sellers, marketers and businesses. In India these include Amazon Seller Central for selling on Amazon.in, Amazon Ads for sponsored product and display advertising, Amazon Associates for affiliate marketing, Amazon Pay for Business for online and UPI payments, and Amazon Business for GST-invoiced B2B purchasing. Seller fees are charged as referral and fulfilment fees, and ads are bought on cost-per-click auctions. Amazon Pay also runs as a UPI and wallet payments service for Indian consumers, which gives merchants a checkout option alongside card and net-banking payments.

Amazon operates in India through several locally incorporated companies. Its India-facing sites, such as amazon.in, amazonpay.in and advertising.amazon.in, show services priced in rupees. Amazon also runs technology centres in India, including a Consumer Robotics software development centre in Bengaluru. Amazon's senior leadership also includes Brian Olsavsky, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since June 2015.

Amazon's senior team includes Doug Herrington, CEO of Worldwide Amazon Stores, and Matt Garman, CEO of Amazon Web Services, both named in the company's 2025 annual report. Amazon trades on Nasdaq under the symbol AMZN. Amazon's cloud business, run by AWS, has two Indian regions: Mumbai, launched in 2016, and Hyderabad, launched in 2022. Its India operations have also signed wind-solar hybrid power purchase agreements with Vibrant Energy.
