How much does Gen GST software cost?+
Gen GST desktop e-Filing costs Rs 5,000 for installation and Rs 2,000 per year for updates. The desktop All In One edition, which adds e-invoice and e-way bill, costs Rs 10,000 plus Rs 4,000 a year. Online editions range from Rs 7,000 to Rs 15,000 with Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 yearly updation. GST is added to all these prices.
Are Gen GST prices inclusive of GST?+
No. SAG Infotech states that every Gen GST price excludes applicable taxes, so 18% GST is added to the installation and updation amounts. Desktop prices also exclude LAN charges, which are billed per additional machine. Add-ons such as an extra employee login (Rs 1,000) or 5 GB extra hosting (Rs 2,500) are also charged plus GST.
Is there a free version or trial of Gen GST?+
Gen GST offers a downloadable demo and live demos on request. SAG's FAQ also says the cloud version is free for one GSTIN, but that free use does not include the filing feature, so it is mainly useful for testing data entry and reports. For actual return filing you need a paid edition, starting at Rs 5,000 plus GST for desktop e-Filing.
