How to choose a Tally.ERP 9 alternative
- Ask your CA first. If the firm works only in Tally, a cloud product with a clean Tally export is safer than a full switch nobody outside your office will support.
- Check the MCA audit-trail requirement: every change to a transaction must be logged and the log must be immutable. Cloud products usually comply; older desktop builds may not.
- Look at bank feeds. Automatic import from Indian banks saves hours every month, and the coverage varies more than vendors admit.
