For software companies: reach Indian businesses ready to buy

TranZact's entry plan costs Rs. 8,333 a month, billed yearly, which works out to about Rs. 1 lakh a year before tax. That price includes four users. Buy it if you run a small or mid-sized factory that has outgrown Excel and Tally stock registers and wants inventory management software for manufacturers in India that also handles purchase, production and sales. It is not a cheap stock app for a shop. TranZact says more than 10,000 Indian manufacturers use it.
The inventory module is built for factories. Every stock-in, issue and transfer is recorded as it happens. Stock can be tracked store by store, for example from a main store to a second unit. There are bin cards, reorder levels, stock valuation and ageing, plus alerts for low stock and dead stock. Batch tracking is only in the Scale+ plan (Rs. 16,666 a month, eight users). BOMs, production orders and inward documents feed the same stock ledger, so material planning works from live quantities.
Accounting stays in your existing books. Data syncs one way to Tally Prime or Tally ERP 9 through a TDL and a Chrome extension, or to Zoho Books in one click. TranZact's help centre has 25 articles on the Tally setup alone. TranZact says a typical rollout goes live in two to three weeks.
There are real limits. The help centre says TranZact runs only in the browser and needs an internet connection. Its FAQ said there was no mobile app, and we found no Play Store listing. Quality control, machine planning, API access and custom document formats are only in Dominate, at Rs. 30,000 a month. Extra users cost Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 2,500 a month each, and the pricing page does not say whether GST is included.

TranZact publishes four plans, all billed yearly. Grow costs Rs. 8,333 a month with four users. Scale+ costs Rs. 16,666 a month with eight users and batch tracking. Dominate costs Rs. 30,000 a month with twelve users, quality control and API access. Enterprise is priced by quote. Extra users cost Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 2,500 a month each.
The TranZact pricing page lists no free plan and gives no trial length, even though the website has a 'Start for Free' sign-up button. The usual way in is a sales demo. Ask the sales team whether they will set up a trial account with your own item masters before you commit to a year.
TranZact's pricing page does not say whether GST is included in its plan prices. Indian software subscriptions usually attract 18% GST. If that applies, Grow would cost about Rs. 1.18 lakh a year instead of Rs. 1 lakh. Ask for a quote with tax shown separately before you approve the budget.
Yes. TranZact syncs data one way to Tally Prime and Tally ERP 9 using a TDL file and a Chrome extension, so operations run in TranZact and accounting stays in Tally. The help centre has 25 articles on this setup, including ledger mapping. TranZact also syncs with Zoho Books in one click.
Tally's inventory works well for traders but has no live production planning or BOM-driven material planning. TranZact adds BOMs, production orders, store-wise transfers, inward checks and reorder alerts, then posts the data to Tally. A factory with more than a few hundred items usually gets more from TranZact plus Tally than from Tally alone.
TranZact is a browser-based cloud product. Its help centre FAQ said there was no mobile app and no desktop download, and we found no TranZact listing on Google Play. The website says anyone who can use a smartphone can use TranZact, so expect to use it in a phone browser on the shop floor.
Batch tracking for inventory and production is in TranZact's Scale+ plan (Rs. 16,666 a month, billed yearly) and above. The cheaper Grow plan covers inventory and production management without batch tracking. If you make food, pharma packaging or anything else that needs lot traceability, budget for Scale+.
TranZact says customers typically go live on inventory in two to three weeks. The usual steps are uploading item masters and opening stock from Excel, setting up stores, building BOMs and connecting Tally or Zoho Books. Clean item codes before you start, because messy masters are what usually delays an inventory rollout.
No. TranZact's help centre says it is cloud-based and needs a working internet connection. If your plant has patchy connectivity, arrange a backup connection for the stores desk before you go live. A desktop accounting tool with local inventory may be safer if outages last several hours.
Yes, TranZact is an Indian company.
