GoFrugal is a Chennai-based software company that makes cloud and mobile ERP software for retail, restaurant and distribution businesses. Kumar Vembu founded it in 2004 after working at Zoho, the company his family co-founded. GoFrugal describes its goal as helping businesses run with fewer staff and less training.

Its products cover the day-to-day running of a trading business. They include billing and point of sale (POS) for many retail formats, ServQuick for restaurants and quick-service outlets, inventory and warehouse management, distribution ERP, and mobile apps for owners, salespeople and online ordering. The software handles GST billing and integrates with Indian payment and e-commerce channels, which makes it common among small and mid-sized Indian retailers.

GoFrugal sells in India directly and through a partner network, with subscription plans for its cloud products. Prices depend on the edition, the number of outlets or terminals, and add-on modules. Buyers should ask for a current quote, because the company does not publish one standard price for every setup.

In 2023 GoFrugal was acquired by Zoho Corporation. The company says it now runs as a Zoho division but keeps its own product development and customer service. GoFrugal says it has more than 30,000 customers in over 75 countries and a team of more than 250 people. It also says it holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security. Kumar Vembu started the company after leaving Zoho in 2004 to build products for Indian retail and distribution businesses. Its software is aimed at owners who want to run their stores with less manual work.
