Resend

Resend is an email platform for developers and teams, with APIs for sending, receiving and automating email. One product, Inboxes, lets you create inboxes programmatically, give an app a dedicated email address, share inboxes with a team, assign conversations and connect your own agents through MCP or skills. Automations adds event-triggered, multi-step email workflows. The address listed on the site is in San Francisco, California.

Automations can be triggered by custom events and combine conditional paths, wait-for-event steps and time delays, and every run is saved so you can see what happened at each step. Marketing emails go out through Broadcasts, while transactional emails use the emails API, and the Batch Email API sends up to 100 emails in one request. The security page describes encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 or higher in transit, backups kept for 7 days, and SOC 2 and GDPR compliance.

Resend has Free, Pro, Scale and Enterprise plans, and it says it offers a free-forever plan but no free trial. Only monthly plans are offered, and registered nonprofits can apply for 50% off paid plans. Pay-as-you-go lets a paid plan keep sending beyond its quota, billed in buckets of 1,000 emails at the plan's overage rate. Before buying, check how inboxes and add-ons are charged. Every plan includes 3 inboxes, extra inboxes are billed at $1 per month on paid plans with pay-as-you-go, and every email sent or received through an inbox counts toward the transactional email quota. Dedicated IPs are offered to Scale customers sending more than 3,000 emails a day. The pricing FAQ lists major credit cards as the accepted payment method, prices are shown in dollars, and education pricing is not offered. HIPAA is listed as in progress.
