Quick answer: AI post tools do three separate jobs: generate creatives, schedule them, and listen to what people say back. Predis.ai generates (Core from $19 a month, no auto-posting), Buffer schedules cheaply ($5 per channel, with a free plan), SocialPilot suits agencies ($20 to $200 a month for 5 to 40 accounts), and Hootsuite bundles listening from $99 per user. Check Hindi support, because few pages name Indian languages.

How we researched this: We read the pricing and plan pages of Predis.ai, Buffer, SocialPilot, Zoho Social, Metricool, Simplified, Ocoya, Hootsuite, Publer and Mentionlytics, Buffer's AI page, and two Government of India press releases on AI content and endorsements. Prices are as published in October 2026.

Three jobs, three kinds of tool

It is easy to compare a generator against a scheduler and get confused. Separate the jobs first.

Generate. Predis.ai and Simplified turn a prompt, a product link or a blog post into captions, images, carousels or short videos. Ocoya pairs AI writing with scheduling.

Schedule and publish. Each of these is a social media post scheduler SaaS first and an AI tool second: Buffer, SocialPilot, Publer, Metricool and Zoho Social manage a calendar, approvals and publishing to your accounts, and each now bolts on an AI assistant.

Listen. Hootsuite includes brand and competitor monitoring in its Standard plan; Mentionlytics and Mention are monitoring-first tools; Brandwatch targets bigger programmes.

A $19 generator plus a free scheduler can cover the first two jobs, so check in the tables below what an all-in-one plan adds before you pay for it.

Plans and prices side by side

All figures are per the vendors' own pages (checked October 2026). Almost all are in US dollars; none lists a GST-inclusive rupee price, so ask for one.

ToolEntry priceWhat the entry plans limit
Predis.aiCore $19 a month ($230 a year); Rise $40 ($474 a year); Enterprise+ $212 ($2,540 a year)Core: 1,300 credits (about 325 images or 33 videos), 1 brand, 10 social accounts, no auto posting. Rise: 3,200 credits, up to 4 brands, 20 accounts, auto posting. 3-day trial, card required
BufferFree; Essentials $5 and Team $10 per channel a monthFree: 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel. Paid: unlimited scheduling (fair-use cap of 5,000 posts per channel)
SocialPilotEssentials $20 ($17 annual); Standard $40 ($34); Premium $100 ($85); Ultimate $200 ($170)5, 10, 20 and 40 accounts; 500, 1,000, 5,000 and unlimited AI credits; extra accounts $4 a month; 14-day trial, no card
OcoyaStarter $29; Team $79; Agency $199 a month5, 20 and 100 social profiles; 300, 1,500 and 5,000 AI credits; 7-day trial, card required
SimplifiedPro $119 monthly or $99 billed annually; Business $239 or $199Pro: 15 campaigns, 15 social accounts, unlimited AI words and designs; Business: 40 campaigns, 30 accounts. The Starter price is shown as both $59 and $79

MetricoolFree; Starter from $25 monthly ($20 annual); Advanced from $67 ($53)Free: 1 brand, 20 posts a month, 30 days of analytics; Starter up to 10 brands; prices exclude VAT
Zoho SocialFree plan; paid prices vary by regionFree: 1 brand, 6 channels, 5 AI credits; monitoring from Professional; 15-day trial
PublerFree; paid prices set by a calculatorFree: 3 social accounts (not X), 10 scheduled posts per account, 24-hour post history

Four points on the table:

  • Predis.ai's discounts are headline claims. Its monthly prices appear beside struck-through originals ($32, $79 and $249) and annual billing is described as 50% off, though the discount badges show 40%, 50% and 15% by plan. Work from the amounts you will actually pay at checkout.
  • Simplified's page contradicts itself on Starter, so ask for the Starter price in writing. Its extra campaigns cost $10 each on any plan.
  • Buffer's free AI is capped on one page and uncapped on another. Its pricing page limits the Free plan to 5 AI suggestions a week, while its AI Assistant page says the assistant can be used "without any limits" on a free account. Test it before you rely on it.
  • Hootsuite's page leaves the currency blank, although its FAQ uses dollar amounts. Prices are per user, on annual billing, excluding taxes.

What credits and limits mean in posts

AI credits are the most confusing line in these plans, so convert them to posts. Predis.ai states its own conversion: Core's 1,300 credits are about 325 images or 33 videos, and Rise's 3,200 credits about 800 images or 80 videos. That is roughly 4 credits per image and 39 per video. A brand posting 20 static images a month uses about 80 credits on Core, a sixteenth of the allowance, while 10 short videos would use roughly 390. So the plan limit that bites on Core is not credits; it is the lack of auto-posting.

The same sum works elsewhere. SocialPilot's Essentials gives 500 AI credits a month for 5 accounts. Ocoya's Starter gives 300 for 5 profiles. Neither page says how many captions or images a credit buys, so count credits per task in the trial, not from the plan name.

Language and brand safety for Indian pages

Languages. Predis.ai's homepage says you can generate ad creatives in "over 19 languages", but it does not name Hindi or any regional Indian language. Buffer's AI page does not say which languages the assistant supports. Mentionlytics' page mentions sentiment analysis "in all languages" without listing them. Before paying, run the same Hindi, Marathi or Tamil prompt in each trial and have a native speaker read the output. Check Hinglish captions in particular.

AI labelling. A Government of India press release of 6 August 2026 says the IT Rules amendment of 10 February 2026 requires intermediaries to ensure clear labelling and traceable metadata for permissible AI-generated content, and to use technical measures against unlawful synthetically generated information. The duty falls on platforms, but the practical effect lands on you: expect platforms to introduce prompts to declare AI-made visuals, so check each platform's current rules. The same press release lists impersonation, including via AI, among content that must not be hosted. Do not generate a celebrity's face or voice, or a fake "customer" photo, for an ad.

Endorsements and testimonials. The Department of Consumer Affairs' guide, released on 20 January 2023, says anyone with an audience must disclose a material connection with the advertiser, using terms like "advertisement", "sponsored" or "paid promotion". It also says misleading advertisement in any format is prohibited by law. An AI-written testimonial presented as a real customer's words is a misleading advertisement. If you pay creators, see our guide to influencer marketing platforms.

Listening and sentiment: what is on offer

Social listening and sentiment analysis SaaS tools search the web and social media for your brand name, competitors and keywords, then group mentions by sentiment.

  • Hootsuite Standard states it monitors your brand and competitors and includes social listening; Professional adds a 30-day Quick Search and AI forecasting up to 90 days ahead.
  • Zoho Social lists a monitoring dashboard from its Professional plan (5 columns), and 15 columns on Premium and agency plans.
  • Mentionlytics publishes plans from $49 a month (yearly billing) with 3 keyword rules and 5,000 monthly mentions, rising to $169 for 10 rules and 15,000 mentions; its page does not list supported languages. We cover its plans in more detail in our guide to Google review and reputation tools.
  • Brandwatch says it monitors "over 100m sources", but its homepage does not mention sentiment analysis or Hindi, and it publishes no prices.

Ask each vendor to show sentiment results on a sample of your own Hinglish mentions before you trust them, and treat the scores as a pointer to which mentions to read, not as a verdict.

Three Indian scenarios worked through

A three-person Jaipur home-décor D2C brand posting about 20 times a month. Pair a generator with a free scheduler: Predis.ai Core at $19 a month plus Buffer's Free plan (3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel, refilled as posts publish) costs $19, because Core lacks auto-posting but Buffer handles the queue. Compare Buffer Essentials for two channels at 2 × $5 = $10 if you want unlimited scheduling, and decide whether you need Predis at all; Canva-style design is a separate choice, covered in our Canva and Figma pricing guide.

A 12-person Pune agency running eight clients on three channels each. That is 24 accounts. SocialPilot Premium includes 20 accounts for $100 a month ($85 on annual billing); four extra accounts at $4 are $16, so $116 a month ($101 annually), with 6 users included and extra users at $5 a month on Premium. Ultimate costs $200 for 40 accounts, but at the same $4 per extra account, Premium plus extras always comes out $20 cheaper. The real reasons to move up are Ultimate's unlimited users, 24 months of historical analytics against 12, and unlimited AI credits. Ocoya Agency at $199 offers 100 profiles and 20 users if you want AI credits (5,000) in the same bill.

A Mumbai skincare brand worried about complaints on social. Start with Hootsuite Standard if you also need a scheduler, since listening is included from $99 per user a month. If you need only monitoring, Mentionlytics Basic at $49 yearly-billed is the cheaper trial. Either way, define keyword lists for your brand, your product names and common misspellings, and route negative mentions to one owner within a day.

Who should skip which tool

  • Skip Predis.ai Core if you need auto-posting; its page lists auto posting from Rise upward.
  • Skip Simplified Starter until its price is clear, and skip it for tiny teams, since the plans start at $59 to $79 a month.
  • Skip Hootsuite if you need many seats: pricing is per user, so a 5-person team costs five times the plan rate.
  • Skip an all-in-one suite if your volume is under two posts a day; a free scheduler and a browser-based design tool are enough.
  • Skip fully automated posting for regulated or sensitive sectors. Keep a human approval step.

A 30-day workflow that keeps the brand human

  1. Week 1: Fix your voice in one page: three adjectives, words to avoid, languages. Load it as the brand kit or prompt prefix.
  2. Week 2: Generate a month of posts in one sitting, then edit each: add the city, price, delivery time and a real photo. AI drafts are a starting point.
  3. Week 3: Schedule using each tool's best-time feature if it has one, and keep the first-hour reply slot free for comments.
  4. Week 4: Review reach, saves and replies, drop the two weakest formats, and set up one listening query.

FAQs

What is the best AI social media post generator tool for small businesses in India?

There is no single best. Predis.ai generates images, carousels and videos from a prompt or product link from $19 a month, Simplified bundles AI writing and design from $59 to $79 a month, and Buffer's free plan adds an AI assistant to a scheduler. Test Hindi output in each trial.

How much does a social media scheduler cost in India?

Published prices are in dollars. Buffer charges $5 per channel a month, SocialPilot starts at $20 a month for 5 accounts, and Metricool and Publer have free plans. Zoho Social's page says prices adjust by region.

Which social media management tool India-based agencies should use?

Compare SocialPilot (20 accounts at $100 a month), Ocoya Agency ($199 for 100 profiles) and Simplified Business. Count accounts, users and client workspaces before you compare prices.

Does Buffer's free plan include AI?

Buffer's pricing page says the AI Assistant is included on all three plans, with 5 suggestions a week on Free, while another Buffer page says it can be used without limits on a free account. Treat the weekly cap as the safe assumption.

Do I have to label AI-generated posts in India?

The platforms carry the labelling duty under the amended IT Rules, according to a PIB release, so expect prompts to declare AI content. Advertisers must also avoid misleading claims and must disclose paid endorsements. Check your sector's rules.

Can these tools do social listening and sentiment analysis?

Hootsuite Standard includes listening, Zoho Social lists monitoring from Professional, and Mentionlytics and Mention are monitoring-first. Ask each vendor whether sentiment works on Hindi and Hinglish.
