Sellers often search whether Shadowfax and Shiprocket are the same thing. They are not. They are different companies that sell different kinds of service. Is Shadowfax the same as Shiprocket? No
Shadowfax describes itself on its About page as building "the infrastructure behind India's fast-moving commerce economy". It lists "2.9 lakh+ delivery partners", "3,500+ trucks", "53 lakh+ square feet of operational infrastructure" and coverage of "16,372+ PIN codes". The About page says it "began as a last-mile food delivery service" in 2015. Its Play Store developer name is Shadowfax Technologies.
Shiprocket describes its work on its About page as enabling "eCommerce sellers with AI-driven technology and dependable services encompassing conversion, order fulfillment, shipping, buyer communication, returns management". Its homepage lists "42+ Courier Partners", "19,000+ unique pin codes" and "220+ countries and territories".
Put simply: Shadowfax runs its own delivery network. Shiprocket is software that lets you book shipments with many couriers from one dashboard.
Is Shadowfax a courier partner on Shiprocket?
Yes. Shiprocket's official Carrier Integrations page (shiprocket.in/carrier-integrations) has an entry for Shadowfax that reads: "Shadowfax offers pickups, same-day delivery, and assured next-day deliveries for intercity. On integrating with Shiprocket, you also get return order pickups and reverse shipping." The entry lists serviceability as 8,500 pin codes, tracking as "Yes" and domestic courier as "Yes".
That pin-code figure is what the Shiprocket page states for the integration. It differs from the network-wide figure on Shadowfax's own site. So a Shiprocket seller may see Shadowfax offered as one courier option on some shipments. That is a listing on a platform, not the same company.
What Shadowfax offers sellers
According to shadowfax.in and its apps, Shadowfax offers:
- Ecommerce and D2C: express parcel, reverse parcel with doorstep quality checks, same-day and next-day delivery.
- Hyperlocal and quick commerce: deliveries within hours, including 30-minute fulfilment.
- SME and personal courier: the Shadowfax Courier app for on-demand pickup and drop within a city. Its Play listing says you enter pickup and drop addresses, choose a bike, scooter or mini-truck, and "get instant pricing".
- Shadowfax 360 (SF360): "an all-in-one digital shipping platform for online sellers, D2C brands, and marketplaces", which offers "flat-rate pricing, zero COD charges, no extra RTO costs, and D+2 COD remittance".
The About page names Nykaa, Myntra, AJIO, Meesho, Mokobara and Dot & Key among brands that "rely on us to power deliveries".
What Shiprocket offers sellers
Shiprocket's site lists a wide product range: domestic shipping, cargo (B2B) shipping, Quick for local deliveries, Shiprocket Fulfillment for warehousing, Shiprocket X for cross-border shipping, Fastrr by Shiprocket for checkout, and Shiprocket Promise for delivery dates and trust badges. Its pricing page says every plan includes manifests and labels, automated tracking, sales channel sync, a live rate calculator, bulk order processing, multiple pickup locations and COD reconciliation.

The page adds that Business, Advanced and Pro refund the plan fee if you reach 100, 500 or 1,000 shipments respectively in any month. It also says "No fees. No minimum sign up period. No credit card required" for getting started. The asterisk marks these as average costs, and detailed rate cards sit behind the "View detailed rate card" links.
Shadowfax does not publish a per-shipment rate card. Its ecommerce FAQ says costs "depend on factors like weight, dimensions, destination pin code, and delivery mode" and asks you to get in touch "for a customized rate card". The Courier app shows prices in the app when you book. SF360 promises "flat-rate pricing" but lists no figures on the Shadowfax site.
