Quick answer: HROne helps growing Indian companies by combining core HR, time office, payroll and a mobile app in a plan that is published openly: Basic at ₹4,950 per month for 50 users and Professional at ₹6,500 per month for 50 users, per HROne's pricing page (checked October 2026). It suits 50 to a few hundred employees. If you prefer a per-user rate, compare Zimyo; for statutory-heavy payroll, see factoHR.

The business HROne is trying to serve

HROne says on its homepage that more than 2,500 companies use it, covering more than 10 lakh users, and it names brands such as Timex, Bikanervala, Haier and Muthoot among its customers. Those are HROne's own claims. What stands out for a growth article is the spread: consumer, food, finance and media brands all have the same underlying headache, which is lots of shifts, lots of locations and monthly payroll that must tie to attendance.

If that is your headache, this is a tool worth a demo. If your problem is mostly recruitment or performance reviews, read the pricing section below first, because those modules sit in the top tier.

What each plan includes

HROne's pricing page lists three standard plans:

PlanPriceUsers includedExtra usersWhat it adds
Basic₹4,950/month50₹99 per user per monthCore HR, time office, payroll, mobile app, reports and dashboards
Professional₹6,500/month50₹130 per user per monthBasic plus workforce management and digital acknowledgement of letters and policies
EnterpriseCustom quote50+QuotedProfessional plus recruitment, performance, engagement, expense, asset and helpdesk

Source: HROne's pricing page, checked October 2026. HROne also says billing starts when you go live and that there is "zero contractual lock-in". Add-ons listed include payroll outsourcing, a WhatsApp bot, a Teams bot, work plan, business intelligence and workforce planning.

Worked example, using only those published numbers: a company with 80 employees on Basic would pay ₹4,950 for the first 50 plus 30 extra users at ₹99, which is ₹2,970, for ₹7,920 a month. On Professional, the same company would pay ₹6,500 plus 30 at ₹130, which is ₹3,900, for ₹10,400. That arithmetic is ours; confirm whether taxes apply on your invoice.

Workflows that change when you adopt it

Time office. HROne describes attendance and leave management with multiple tracking methods and shift policies. For a retailer with rotating shifts, this is the difference between a supervisor fixing a muster sheet every week and exceptions arriving on screen.

Payroll tied to attendance. The value of keeping Core HR, time office and payroll in one plan is that the month-end no longer starts with exporting attendance into Excel.

Workforce management. The Professional tier adds this. Ask HROne exactly what it covers, since the term can mean rostering, deployment or both.

Digital acknowledgements. Policy and letter acknowledgements stop living in email threads. This helps when you roll out a new leave or code-of-conduct policy and need proof that people accepted it.

AI agents. The homepage mentions "One AI", with employee, HR and recruiter variants. Treat it as something to test, not as a purchase reason.

Growth outcomes: what HROne documents and what it does not

HROne's homepage states customer counts and ratings: 4.8 stars across 710+ Gartner reviews and 2,120+ G2 reviews, and it mentions a Gartner Voice of the Customer 2026 win. HROne does not publish measured outcomes such as hours saved or payroll error rates on its website, so ask for customer references you can call. If outcomes matter to your decision, ask for a reference customer of your size and sector and ask what changed in their month-end.

Where HROne is not the best fit

  • A 12-person startup. The Basic plan includes 50 users, so you would be paying for headroom. A small team may find a free tier such as Kredily's cheaper to start with.
  • Teams that need recruitment and performance modules now. On the pricing page these sit in Enterprise, which is quote-based. Companies that need them at a smaller scale may price better elsewhere. HROne Performance is listed separately on App Advisor for context.
  • Businesses wanting a per-user, month-by-month rate. Zimyo publishes ₹80, ₹160 and ₹240 per user per month tiers with a 50-user minimum.
  • Compliance-heavy PF trusts and gratuity funds. factoHR lists retirement-benefit management on its website.

A 30-day rollout for a 60-person company

  1. Week 1. Gather the list of employees, shifts, leave rules and salary structures. Decide who owns HR data going forward.
  2. Week 2. Load the data, set up shifts and holidays, and start capturing attendance on the app.
  3. Week 3. Reconcile attendance against your old register for one cycle. Fix mismatches in policy, not by overriding punches.
  4. Week 4. Run payroll in parallel. Confirm PF, ESI and professional tax lines against your last filed return before going live.

Because HROne bills from go-live, use the setup weeks to test properly without paying early. Confirm that in writing.

What to ask before signing

  • Is the 50-user bundle counted on active employees or on all records?
  • What does payroll outsourcing, if offered, cost on top?
  • Is there an implementation or training charge?
  • How are statutory filings handled, and what stays with your accountant?

A worked scenario: a six-store retail chain

Take a regional chain of six stores with 70 staff on rotating shifts, plus a small head office. The store managers currently send attendance photos on WhatsApp, and the payroll executive types them into a sheet.

With a time-office module and the mobile app, each store's attendance lands in one place. Late marks, half-days and overtime are calculated by rule, not by whoever is typing. At month-end the payroll executive reviews exceptions instead of rebuilding the whole month.

The things to watch in this setup are practical. Does the app work in the back of a store with weak signal? Can a manager approve a shift swap without calling head office? Can an employee see why a day was marked half? These are the questions that decide whether the store managers use the system or quietly go back to WhatsApp.

A month-end checklist you can reuse

Whatever tool you pick, a repeatable close keeps payroll calm:

  1. Lock attendance on a fixed date and publish that date to managers.
  2. Review the exception report: missing punches, unapproved leave, negative balances.
  3. Process new joiners and leavers, including full and final settlements.
  4. Run payroll in draft and compare total cost with the previous month; investigate any large swing.
  5. Approve, then release payslips and the bank file.
  6. Record statutory payments and keep the challans for audit.

A system helps most on steps one, two and four, because those are where manual work hides errors. If a demo cannot show you an exception report that is useful on step two, keep looking.
