Quick answer: Bigin by Zoho helps small Indian sales teams grow revenue by replacing spreadsheets, scattered WhatsApp chats and sticky notes with one visual pipeline, automated follow-ups and built-in calling. Zoho positions it for businesses of 1 to 20 employees. If you need deep customisation or a large team, compare Zoho CRM; if you want a lead-first Indian tool with unlimited users, look at Kylas CRM.
Where small teams lose revenue without a CRM
Most five-person sales teams in India do not lose deals because the product is poor. They lose them in the gaps: an enquiry that reached one person's WhatsApp and never reached anyone else, a quotation sent and never chased, a repeat customer nobody called when the contract was due. Bigin's own site describes the target reader as someone whose "customer data is still scattered across spreadsheets, emails, messages, and notes".
A CRM grows revenue only by closing those gaps. For a small team that means four things: every enquiry lands in one place, every deal has a next step with a date, every conversation is attached to the customer, and the owner can see the pipeline without asking. Our guides on stopping lead leakage and daily follow-up automation cover the principle. The rest of this article is about how Bigin does it, and where it stops.
What Bigin does, as Zoho describes it
From Bigin's homepage and features pages:
- Pipelines. A visual pipeline with customisable stages. Zoho's "team pipelines" let you run separate pipelines for different customer-facing processes, such as new sales, onboarding and renewals, in one account.
- Multichannel communication. Email, calls and WhatsApp are pulled into the record of each contact or deal. The features page lists a built-in phone for making, receiving and recording calls, plus 100+ third-party telephony integrations.
- Automation. Workflows that trigger email sequences, schedule actions and assign tasks. The number of automations depends on the plan.
- Mobile. Apps for iOS, iPadOS, Android and macOS, with call logging and a business-card scanner.
- Forms and booking. Web forms for your site and an online booking page where prospects pick a meeting slot.
- Payments. Payment links through gateways that include Razorpay, Paytm, Stripe and PayPal, listed on the Express plan and above.
- Lead-ad sync. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok lead ads on the Express plan and above.
- AI. Zoho lists AI assistants for writing emails, summarising records and suggesting cross-sell opportunities, on the higher plans with monthly AI credits.
Zoho also states that "50,000+ businesses already run on Bigin". That is the vendor's own count, so treat it as marketing rather than an independent figure.
What changes week to week
Monday. The owner opens the pipeline and sees every open deal by stage. Deals with no activity are the first conversation of the week.
Daily. A rep opens the day's tasks, calls from the app, and the call lands on the contact record. After a call the rep moves the deal a stage. A workflow can create the next task automatically so the follow-up does not depend on memory.
When an enquiry arrives. A web form, a lead ad or an email creates a record in the pipeline. Zoho's pricing page describes email-in on Bigin 360, which creates a record whenever mail arrives at a group address such as sales@ or support@.
When a deal is won. The deal can move into an onboarding pipeline, so delivery, payment and first-month check-ins are also tracked. Zoho's own wording is "connected pipelines".
Month end. Dashboards show deals by stage and team activity. Premier adds a target meter. Compare it with the reports you actually need in CRM reports that drive growth.
Plans and prices
Bigin's pricing page (checked October 2026) lists four editions and shows prices in USD by default, with a currency switch that includes INR. The figures below are the USD prices on that page, billed per user per month.
| Free | Express | Premier | Bigin 360 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yearly billing | US$0 | US$7 | US$12 | US$18 |
| Monthly billing | US$0 | US$9 | US$15 | US$21 |
| Users | Single user | Multiple | Multiple | Multiple |
| Pipelines | 1 | 3 | 5 | 15 |
| Records | 500 | 50,000 | 100,000 | 1 million |
| Automations | 3 | 30 | 50 advanced | 100 advanced rules |
Other details from the same page: all paid plans include free onboarding, help with data import and phone, email and live-chat support; there is a 15-day free trial. Premier adds stage transition rules, duplicate cleanup and multiple currencies. Bigin 360 adds email-in, a file cabinet and the highest limits.
Check the INR amount and the GST treatment on the page before you budget. For a team of five on Express billed yearly, the arithmetic is simple: five users times the per-user price times twelve months, plus GST. Add-ons for extra pipelines, records or automations are priced separately.
How it compares
| Bigin | Zoho CRM | Kylas CRM | |

| Vendor-stated scale | 50,000+ businesses | Trusted by 300K+ businesses | 5,000+ businesses |

The Kylas figures come from Kylas's pricing page, checked October 2026: the free Embark plan has 10,000 non-expandable records and unlimited users without workflow automation, and add-ons run from ₹500 to ₹5,000 a month. Zoho itself says Bigin is simpler and costs less than Zoho CRM, and that you can upgrade later if the business outgrows it. That is a useful sign of how Zoho sees the boundary.
A 30-day rollout for a small team
Days 1-3: one pipeline. Draw your real sales process as five to seven stages. Resist adding stages for edge cases.
Days 4-7: import. Bigin supports CSV import and, per its FAQ, direct migration from HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zoho CRM. Clean duplicates in the spreadsheet first. See moving from Excel to a CRM without losing data.
Days 8-14: capture. Put a form on your website, connect your lead ads if you run them, and agree that every enquiry is entered or captured the same day.
Days 15-21: calling and WhatsApp. Log calls from the app, connect WhatsApp, and write three message templates for the common situations. Read WhatsApp follow-up automation for the opt-in and template basics.
Days 22-30: automate and review. Add two or three workflows, such as a task when a deal enters "Quoted" and a reminder after three days of silence. At the end of the month compare uncalled leads and missed follow-ups with the month before.
If your sales support also needs invoicing, Bigin connects with Zoho Books and QuickBooks according to its pricing page. For tickets, it lists Zoho Desk; for campaigns, Zoho Campaigns; and for signatures, Zoho Sign.
Who Bigin is not for
- Teams beyond about 20 people. Zoho's own positioning is 1 to 20 employees. Larger teams usually need role hierarchies, territories and deeper reporting. See sales territories and targets in a CRM.
- Lead-factory call teams. If you handle hundreds of portal leads a day with a telecalling team, a lead-first tool with dialer and routing built for India may fit better. Start with dialer and telecalling CRMs and Kylas CRM.
- Heavy customisation needs. The lower plans cap custom fields: the pricing page lists 10 on Express, 25 on Premier and 50 on Bigin 360 per module.
- Buyers who need only rupee pricing in black and white. Confirm the INR price and GST on the pricing page or with Zoho before you commit.
Other options to shortlist alongside it are Freshsales, HubSpot CRM and Pipedrive.
What to check before you buy
- Run your real pipeline in the 15-day trial with real leads, not demo data.
- Count the records you will hold in a year, since the limits are on records, not on customers.
- Ask how WhatsApp is connected, and whether you will need a separate API provider. Our guide to WhatsApp Business API providers in India explains the choice.
- Confirm the data-centre region and the export route, so you can leave with your data.
- Get the final price per user in rupees, including GST, in writing.
